More about me…
Hi, my name is Amanda and nothing brings me greater joy than helping others! I have worked in healthcare for most of my working life, starting as a Phlebotomist and working my way toward a Nursing career. I’ve worked in hospitals in multiple states, as well as in Bath and Oxford, and have been entrusted with the care of more people than I can count at this point. Working with people when they are in a compromised state of health has been a great honor that I do not take lightly. However, working in the allopathic field has always felt like it was lacking so much … looking at issues in a narrow and limited perspective.
I have been drawn to herbalism and holistic health my entire life, from the first time I picked mint from a sidewalk in Berkeley as a kiddo and made a cup of tea. Working with the plants is a beautiful tradition that I am proud to follow in and looking at a person for their whole self, and not just a symptom, is much more in tune with my perspective on the world. I would be honored to work with you as a trusted partner to bring you closer to your health goals.
I work full-time as an RN with oncology patients. My herbal training has been ongoing for decades, but my formal certificates are through a 3-year program with Land of VERSE in San Francisco. I provide a judgement-free relationship with all clients. I welcome everyone seeking insight into their health and bodies. I provide a safe space for you to be yourself and work within the boundaries that you set. We can explore any and every question you have, but I absolutely respect any areas of your health that you would like to keep off-limits.
I am from Berkeley, CA and currently live in Lawrence, KS with my loving husband, two delightful pups, and still rambunctious 14-year old kitty.
I see most clients over Zoom though am available for in-person appointments in Lawrence, KS and, occasionally, in the Bay Area.
